Keno Schemes That Win

[ English ]

It might not generally be considered the sexiest game in the arena of wagering, but keno has tons of passionate fans. As well it should! It’s a consistently entertaining lotto-esque game that’s simple to master, readily available in several different variations, and one that may pay out millions for players who master its endless subtle nuances. But let’s deal with the basics for now.

When describing keno to novices, some gaming connoisseurs compare it to the lottery. This is at least to some extent correct, in that each game is basically numerical. However, to take that comparison too far will be to think too little of the great many unique aspect that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno players have the freedom to choose the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is given an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to determine as many (or as few) numbers as he or she needs. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your selected numbers with a standard#2 pencil like you used back in school.

After you have selected your numbers, carry the game card back to the nice person at the keno stand. The nice person will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning ticket in hand, you will be given precisely $.00 for your time spent.

Ok, there you have strategy number one: always take care to keep your keno slip. Let’s move on to something a bit more advanced, shall we?

After you’ve checked off your numbers, settle into a comfy keno booth and see the action unfold on the big keno monitor. This is where the winning numbers are shown for all to see. If you picked winners, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get up to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and a new keno game will almost certainly begin within a few minutes.

Strategy number 2: always get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to beat that five-minute margin each and every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 cards. When the maximum amount of rounds (matching the amount of tickets) is played, you are then able to get off your lazy bum and go redeem your winnings.

Still another opportunity is referred to as a "stray and play" keno slip, which commonly lets you make number choices for 30 games or more. Heck, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to collect your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

And now you have learned a couple of necessary strategies for winning keno. If you are a discerning keno player, they may seem to be stupidly obvious. Still, it does not hurt to bone up on the basics, and if you are a beginner player, every bit of information will help make your keno wagering more entertaining.
