It will not generally be seen as the most lucrative game in the realm of wagering, but keno has massive amounts of keen players. And it should! It’s a always thrilling lottery-style game that’s easy to learn, abundantly available in tons of alternate styles, and one that might yield millions for people who master its uncounted subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the beginner’s rules here.

When describing keno to amateurs, some gambling pros compare it to bingo. This is at least to some extent apt, in that each game is basically numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far can be to underrate the innumerable unique aspect that make keno so interesting. Not like bingo, keno gamblers have the freedom to choose the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the user is given an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to determine as numerous (or as few) numbers as he feels they need. And it doesn’t take a super genius to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your selected numbers with a every day old#2 pencil like you used when you were a kid.

Now that you have picked your numbers, carry your card back to the person at the keno booth. The nice person will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Make sure no to drop this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will be given precisely $.00 for your time spent.

Now there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s move to something a little more complex, shall we?

After you’ve picked out your numbers, get into a comfy keno booth and observe the action unfold on the monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are shown for all to see. If you have winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Sake care not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You must get up to the keno booth to collect your winnings, since a new keno game will most likely get going within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always make sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to meet that 5 minute margin each time, you always have the option of buying a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from two to twenty slips. When the maximum amount of keno games (matching the amount of tickets) is finished, you are then able to get off your lazy back side and go get your winnings.

Yet another alternative is referred to as a "stray and play" keno card, which generally lets you make number selection for 30 rounds or more. Golly, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to worry about getting back in time to collect your winnings. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!

So now you have learned a couple required techniques for winning keno. If you are an advanced player, they may appear to be very obvious. However, it does not hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a newbie user, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno experience more fun.
