It won’t ordinarily be thought of as the sexiest game in the arena of wagering, but keno has massive amounts of dedicated supporters. As well it should! It’s a regularly entertaining lottery-type game that’s a snap to master, readily available in several assorted styles, and one that will pay out millions of dollars for people who master its numerous subtle rules. But let’s deal with the beginner’s rules for now.

When describing keno to newcomers, some wagering masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least partly correct, in that both games are basically numerical. However, to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to miscalculate the many unique traits that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the power to choose the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the player is given an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as he feels they need. And it doesn’t take a genius to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your picked numbers with a normal#2 pencil like you used when you were in school.

Now that you’ve picked your numbers, carry the keno card back to the person at the keno stand. The keno pit manager will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Make sure no to lose this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers you and would like to help out, without a winning ticket on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your efforts.

So, there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let us move on to something a tiny bit more advanced, yes?

Once you’ve selected your numbers, get into a comfy keno booth and observe the action unfold on the keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers show up for us. If you picked winning numbers, mark your card aptly. Sake care not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You are required to get back to the keno stand to collect your winnings, since a new round of keno will almost certainly start within five minutes.

Strategy #2: always make it back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you can not trust yourself to beat that five-minute deadline every time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty tickets. When the maximum amount of games (matching the number of tickets) is played out, you may then get off your numb butt and go redeem your winnings.

Another opportunity is known as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally allows you make number picks for 30 keno games or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to France and not have to worry about getting back in time to collect your numbers. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

And now you have learned a couple of needed methods for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable gambler, they may appear to be incredibly obvious. But it will not hurt to bone up on the basic practices, and if you are a newbie user, every bit of direction will help make your keno games more agreeable.
