Keno Strategies That Win

It will not usually be thought of as the funnest game in the world of wagering, but keno has loads of fanatical fans. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a regularly exciting lotto-like game that’s a snap to learn, readily available in tons of different formats, and one that will return mega-dollars for gamblers who master its limitless subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basic facts for now.

When explaining keno to beginners, some betting masters compare it to lotto. This is at least in part correct, in that both games are essentially numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far would be to undervalue the great many unique characteristics that make keno so fun. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the power to select the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an increased degree of personal responsibility by being able to choose as many (or as few) numbers as he needs. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your chosen numbers with a normal#2 pencil like you used when you were a kid.

Now that you have checked your numbers, take your card back to the person at the keno booth. The nice person will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not misplace this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your loud shirt and would like to help out, without a winning ticket with you, you will get precisely $.00 for your time spent.

OK, so there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno slip. Let’s move on to something a tiny bit more complicated, what do you think?

Now that you’ve marked your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action unfold on the monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are displayed for all to see. If you picked winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Sake care not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get back to the keno booth to redeem your winnings, and a new round of keno will almost certainly start within not too many minutes.

Strategy number 2: always make it back to the keno stand on time!

Since you can’t trust yourself to beat that five-minute margin each time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the maximum number of games (matching the number of tickets) is completed, you are then able to get off your numb back side and go collect your winnings.

Yet another choice is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which normally allows you make number choices for thirty rounds or more. Golly, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to fret about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" game tickets are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

And now you know a couple indispensable schemes for winning keno. If you are a good gambler, they may seem stupidly obvious. However, it does not hurt to study up on the fundamentals, and if you are a new keno player, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno playing time more enjoyable.
